For country music star Thomas Rhett and his gorgeous wife, Lauren Akins, the time must have flown by. Not because they’ve been married for years — actually they’ve only been married since October of 2012 — but because they’ve known each other since they were in elementary school. And, through the years, they’ve had so much fun together!

On Jan. 11, Thomas paid tribute to the “good times” and the union that he shares with his bride by posting a throwback photo of them on Twitter. In the post he writes, “Throw back to swoopy frat hair and freshly married @laur_akins.”

As you can see in the photo above, the lovebirds flaunt their vibrant smiles while on an ice cream date. Lauren dons a casual T-shirt paired with a chunky necklace. She lets her effortless, beach-blonde waves fall where they may, as she snaps the picture. As for Thomas, he appears with a full head of hair and happily holds up his cone for the camera. How cute!

Less than two weeks ago, Thomas and Lauren marked another moment when they celebrated another countdown to another year together. Thomas took to Times Square in New York City to perform for “NBC’s New Year’s Eve With Carson Daly,” and when the crystal ball dropped for 2017, he and Lauren shared a New Year’s kiss!
Thomas and Lauren will have the rest of the month to enjoy even more moments together before the country crooner takes the road for his first-ever headlining tour. Thomas’ 2017 Home Team Tour kicks off on Feb. 23 and includes special guests Kelsea Ballerini, Russell Dickerson and Ryan Hurd.
