A 10-year-old girl from Fort Lauderdale managed to escape two alleged kidnapping attempts while on her way to school. According to Florida police, they are now offering a $5,000 reward for information in the case. The two incidents were caught on a home security camera. They show the girl running down a street before she then stops to catch her breath. She then quickly resumes sprinting.

Police said that an unidentified male attempted to lure the girl in with candy, money, and other bait while she was walking to school. She refused, but then he attempted a grabber. Luckily she was able to slip away and told police that he was driving a black work van that was damaged in the back. The sliding doors did not have any Windows, according to police.
10-Year-Old Girl Escaped Attempted Kidnapper Twice
The following morning, the man tried again to kidnap the girl. “The young girl was approached by the same male while on her way to school, this time on foot,” police stated in a statement. “She immediately ran away towards the school.”
The suspect is described as a white male between the ages of 30 and 40, standing between 5 ft 10 and 6 ft tall. He has receding brown hair and is a medium build. The incident occurred outside 1500 NE 17th Way, between 7:30 and 8 a.m. on both days.

Florida police went on to release an updated flyer that shows the suspect’s vehicle. The police stated that the man may be balding on the back of his head, and was seen wearing glasses and a dark long-sleeve. As well as a T-shirt with black jeans and white sneakers.
“These incidents are of great concern to us, and we need your help finding the person responsible,” police stated.
“Due to the circumstances, we are considering this a possible attempted abduction. If you recognize the male or the van, or if you happen to have video of either of these incidents, please call Detective Tiana DeQuarto at 954-828-6559.”
