President-elect Donald Trump’s former campaign manager and current surrogate Corey Lewandowski is happy to declare that the War on Christmas is officially over.
Appearing on “Hannity” Tuesday night, Lewandowski claimed that since Trump was elected president, we’re now allowed to say “Merry Christmas.”
“You can say again, ‘Merry Christmas,’ because Donald Trump is now the president,” Lewandowski said. “You can say it again, it’s OK to say, it’s not a pejorative word anymore.”
Lewandowski, who was let go by the Trump team in April following an incident with a reporter, also touted Trump’s alleged success with job creation.
“The other thing is, $50 billion and 50,000 jobs in the last four weeks. We continue down this path, and we’re going to have an increase in immigration to fill up all these jobs and we’re going to have too many in our own country,” he continued.
Trump and his spokespeople have railed on President Obama over the years for his alleged War on Christmas, but several videos show that the president and the first lady haven’t exactly shied away when it comes to wishing people a “Merry Christmas.”
