The NYPD Central Park precinct posted a photo this week of a very famous, fictional member of the NYPD posing for a photo with a real life police officer.
“#BruceWillis showing his support for #CentralPark Pct #NYPD #DetectiveJohnMcLane,” the Tweet read.

After growing up in New Jersey, Willis moved to New York City in the 1970s and was a well-known bartender before he got his big acting break.
After a string of bit parts, Willis rocketed to fame in the late 1980s as Detective John McClane in the “Die Hard” series.
Like the police officer he posed with, Willis’ character was a member of the NYPD.
Though Willis has been rumored to be a bit of a grump behind the scenes, the legendary actor was all smiles when standing next to someone in uniform.
