Photos of President Donald Trump’s son sitting on a tree stump went viral this week after the Internet determined he sat in a peculiar manner. Fallon poked fun at Trump Jr.’s way of sitting, much to his subject’s delight.

“Now this is funny!!!” Trump Jr. wrote on Instagram the day after Fallon’s bit. “Well done @jimmyfallon for poking some well deserved fun at me without being vicious & pushing a political agenda like everyone else on TV who feel obligated to push the Hollywood party line for fear of the ramifications of breaking from it.”

The president’s eldest son went on to acknowledge that he most certainly looked like a “stiff” in the photos.

“I definitely look like a stiff, even if I do try to sit with decent posture. Also I don’t sit much since I’m hyper and always doing something, so I may need some sitting practice. I promise to make an effort to slouch a lot more,” Trump Jr. joked before he praised Fallon once more: “I think we need a lot more of this brand of humor and a lot less of the other nonsense. More of the stuff that 100% of Americans can laugh at and not just 50%.”

Trump Jr.’s comments didn’t go unnoticed within the comedy community, causing some comics to suggest that Fallon dial it up against the Trumps.

“The best kind of comedy is the type that your target loves!” comedian Jensen Karp wrote on Twitter.

Fallon came under fire in 2016 for playing with President Donald Trump’s hair during a late-night segment. He has been criticized in recent months for going soft on the president during his jokes.
