The Latino owners of a Colorado barbecue restaurant have earned the ire of the Internet this week after declaring June 11, 2015 White History Day.
In an interview with USA Today, Edgar Antillon and Miguel Jimene tried to rationalize why they decided to bring a discount for white people to Rubbin Buttz BBQ.
“We have a whole month for black history month. We have a whole month for Hispanic heritage month, so we thought the least we could do was offer one day to appreciate white Americans,” Antillon told USA Today of the 10 percent discount he plans on giving white customers.
AN ACTUAL QUOTE: "We have a whole month for Black History … the least we could do was offer one day to appreciate white Americans." Smh.

“We’re all American, whether you came from a different country or you were born here…We’re all American.”
Despite offering a discount exclusively to white people, the Rubbin Buttz (yes that’s the real name) BBQ restaurant still maintains a positive Yelp rating.
