The reason? He was angry that his car was impounded.

WNEP reported that Sean Mulloy, 44, went to the police station after being pulled over last week for a DUI and was upset that his car was still impounded after a week.

The Times Leader reported that patrolman James Martin was completing paperwork in the station Thursday when he heard noise outside.

When Martin, the same officer who pulled Mulloy over last week, went to investigate, he noticed Mulloy was attempting to wrap a chain around the police station steps, along with a statue and a pizza box filled with pizza.

“His car was towed and he failed to show up and get his car out of the tow lot, which made the bill go up, so he got mad about it,” Police Chief James Drury told the Times Leader. “He came to the police station several times this week looking for us to pay for it, someone to give him money, and we just threw him out. He came back today with a grudge and ran into the officer who actually arrested him last week, so it escalated from there.”

According to court papers, when Martin confronted Mulloy, Mulloy became aggressive and ultimately punched Martin twice with a closed fist and threw a box of pizza at him.

WNEP reported that Mulloy was Tased and arrested on aggravated assault and resisting arrest charges. The Associated Press reported that he is awaiting a preliminary hearing Aug. 25.

Martin was taken to a hospital with an injured elbow.
