Shortly after announcing that 10-year-old Caleb Schwab was killed in an accident on a water slide at a Kansas City theme park, authorities revealed how the little boy died.

According to authorities, Schwab was decapitated after he was ejected from his seat on the Verruckt at the Schlitterbahn Water Park.

“It looked like he must have somehow been ejected from his seat, bounced around between the netting and the slide, and just slid down,” witness Kelsey Friedrichsen told People.

“He would have fallen down without the raft. It’s kind of like a tube.”

According to The Mirror, as soon as the ride was over and Caleb’s body appeared at the bottom of the slide, the situation was one of absolutely mayhem.

The Mirror quotes an eyewitness who claims to have heard Caleb’s brother screaming at a park employee.

“I just saw my little brother die because of one of your attractions,” Caleb’s brother allegedly said.

Caleb was the son of  Scott Schwab, a Republican member of the Kansas House of Representatives.
