In the last 72 hours, President-elect Donald Trump has made headlines thanks to some unpopular opinions he put forth via his Twitter account.

Trump criticized civil rights pioneer Rep. John Lewis (D-GA), got vague on the Affordable Care Act, and said that “Saturday Night Live” was no longer funny… perhaps due to their ramped-up efforts to ridicule his presidency.

On Monday, Trump hit pause on all the ridicule by posting a simple message about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the late civil rights icon who is celebrated on the third Monday in January.

“Celebrate Martin Luther King Day and all of the many wonderful things that he stood for,” Trump’s Twitter account posted.

“Honor him for being the great man that he was!”

Though Trump’s message seemed nice, it comes during the week he was supposed to visit the African American History Museum in Washington, D.C.

Trump cancelled a planned visit shortly after his public spat with Rep. Lewis. Lewis is honored in several exhibits in the museum.
