Police on Wednesday released graphic video of a shootout that killed a double-murder suspect and wounded two officers.

Fifteen videos from police body cameras and patrol car dashboard cameras show Eric Arnold, 41, of Sacramento dying in a hail of gunfire after he came out shooting when police stopped his pickup truck on Sept. 7.

Arnold was wanted for killing his 45-year-old girlfriend and her 17-year-old daughter in the Meadowview neighborhood on Sept. 1.

An officer spotted his black truck and began following it, finally pulling it over on a small residential street in south Sacramento. Other patrol cars also pulled up.

In the videos, an officer behind the truck orders the driver to shut off the engine, put up his hands and drop the ignition keys out of the window. The order to show his hands is repeated several times.

However, less than a minute after the truck stops, the driver steps out, shooting a handgun and walking toward police before he is shot down in a hail of gunfire from five police officers.

An officer swears and says “he fired! he fired!”

An officer groans and says “Oh God, I’m hit! I’m hit! I’m hit!”

One video shows an officer who had been crouching with his gun drawn behind an open patrol car door being wounded and falling backward as gunfire shatters the window.

Police said the driver fired six times, hitting one officer in the leg and another in his bullet-proof vest. Both were treated at a hospital and released.

The five officers fired 36 rounds, hitting Arnold 14 times. He died at the scene.
