John Glenn, former Marine, Ohio senator and the first American to orbit the Earth, passed away at the age of 95 in December.

His body was laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery on Thursday.

During the service, Annie Glenn, his widow, was presented with an American flag in his honor:
