When their meet was cancelled, the Georgia Tech men’s swim team still did their 4×50 men’s relay — in the snow outside!

Ever watched something that physically makes you shiver?

The Georgia Tech men’s swim team had a meet in Blacksburg, Va., the home of Virginia Tech. But a snowstorm that hit much of the South and mid-Atlantic on Saturday cancelled the meet. The team was stuck in their hotel rooms; roads were impassible.

That wouldn’t stop them from practicing, though. The men put on their racing uniforms, headed outside and got right in the water. (Snow’s water, right?)

Freshmen Aidan Pastel captured the resulting “4×50” men’s relay on video posted to Twitter yesterday. Watch these four run through back, breast, fly and free (and the right turns), all in several inches of snow. We’re not sure whether they tried the hotel pool first.

Brrrrrrr.

What do you think?
