Just like Taylor Swift, Number 13 is Houston’s luckiest number.
Obviously Greek for “golden magical beard,” James Harden led the Rockets to a 122-103 blowout victory on the road against the Clippers last night.
Clearly still devastated and distracted by the “La La Land” mix-up, Los Angeles’ b-team couldn’t stop the rain, and the Rockets broke a record for the most threes made in a game ever against the franchise.
Clutch city, baby!
Harden scored an impressive 26 points, and, in the post game conference, secured his vote for Prom King by applauding his fellow teammates’ efforts.
Notably, power forward Ryan Anderson scored six of the 20 threes made last night and had 23 points total. Point guard Patrick Beverly achieved his third double-double of the season with 14 points and a personal record of 12 rebounds.
“We need that sort of balance on the offensive end to get where we need to go,” Harden said. “Having multiple guys in double figures is really important for us.”
It’s encouraging to see Harden in such a good headspace, especially after reports surfaced this week of how hard(en) his relationship was with former gf Khloé Kardashian.
The 6’5” 27-year-old NBA All Star described their eight months together as the worst in his life in an interview with Sports Illustrated:
“I didn’t like all the attention. I feel like it was for no reason. I wasn’t getting anything out of it except my name out there and my face out there, and I don’t need that […] it wasn’t uncomfortable, but it wasn’t me.”
The Beard has clearly refocused on his game, and, like it was mentioned above, is well on his way to becoming a king.

Can’t wait until Saturday’s game against the Grizzlies to catch more Harden? Satiate your own hard on (ha) by watching this week’s “Kimmel,” where it was established that two Jims is way better than one.
