Adam Eidinger of DCMJ, Washington DC’s foremost legalization activism group, hopes to keep that number at zero.

The group has organized a rally and parade on Inauguration Day to press Trump to legalize marijuana for medical and recreational use on a national scale.

In an unprecedented move, they’re giving away over 4,200 joints of up to two ounces each to adults 21 and over, in compliance with DC law. At four minutes and 20 seconds into Trump’s speech, activists plan to light up in protest of the federal government’s continued classification of marijuana as an illegal and dangerous drug.

Rare met Adam Eidinger and DCMJ at their headquarters in Washington, DC. We talked to Eidinger about the organization, the inauguration, and some of the goals of the movement.
