Amber Heard Testifies Johnny Depp ‘Tried To Kill Me’

Concluding her emotional testimony after four days, Amber Heard testifies that Johnny Depp tried to kill her. On Tuesday, the actress said, “This is a man who tried to kill me.” 

Heard’s side presented photos of bruises on her face as witnesses corroborated what they saw. Witnesses were asked about their knowledge of the couple’s drug use and toxic relationship.

One photo shows Heard’s fat lip. Another is a clump of her hair, and another shows damage to her scalp where she’s missing hair.

In a video, shown at 07:35:10 in this full clip, we see Heard start what seems to be her phone camera as she’s standing at a far corner of a kitchen. Depp is in the background saying “Mother F***er” repeatedly.

Depp starts kicking something and then opens a glass kitchen cabinet door, pulls out a glass, and slams it. We hear what sounds like glass breaking from the cabinet. More glass breaks as he’s off-camera. He returns, grabs another glass, and walks close to Heard to grab a bottle of wine. He takes the bottle, turns it 180-degrees upside-down, and fills his glass to the brim.

Heard then asks Depp if he drank the whole bottle that morning. He slings insults at her and she seems confused. She mentions that she hasn’t said anything to him all day other than “I’m sorry.” She says he was “sweet” that morning and she doesn’t understand what is wrong.

Heard has accused Depp of sexually assaulting her with a bottle. Depp has denied this, claiming that Heard threw the bottle at him and that it cut his finger when it broke. Heard refutes that she threw anything at him and says that he likely cut his finger when he smashed a telephone.

Depp is accusing Heard of defamation after Heard publicly accused him of domestic violence. The two have taken turns bringing up past instances in which they say the other was violent. Both have claimed that the other defamed them and they’ve lost acting work as a result.

The defamation trial between Heard and Depp is about to move onto jury deliberations in the near future.
