An Amish party in Ohio got a little too out of hand and ended with over 70 arrests Creative Commons

Ain’t no party like an Amish party, ’cause an Amish party don’t stop. Until it gets broken up by police, that is.

A Millersburg, Ohio, bash, which was expected to draw over 1,000 Amish young people from several different states, ended in the arrests of 73 people, including 35 juveniles, who were subsequently charged with underage consumption of alcohol.

Over 40 police officers busted up the party after several concerned parents called into the Holmes County Sheriff’s office. Some of those arrested were also charged with resisting arrest, and two were taken to a hospital for alcohol related-illness.
