Well, this can’t be unseen.
An Arkansas teen woke up one morning with some serious ear pain and managed to discover the source and pull it out.
This is what was afflicting him:
That is a 4-inch centipede and 14-year-old Grant Botti pulled it out of his ear, KATV reported. Botti felt something moving around in his ear and grabbed the centipede’s tail and slowly pulled it from his ear.
Botti’s mother Angela was there at the time and put the centipede in the plastic bag pictured above. We’re not sure why in the photo it’s being displayed on a car hood. Maybe it’s some new kind of product tie-in or maybe there are no surfaces in the Botti household.
Even after the nightmarish creature was pulled from the teen’s ear, he was still in pain. He went to Saline Memorial Hospital where doctors noticed abrasions to his ear drum, but besides that there was no significant damage done.
It is just speculation, but Botti’s family thinks the creature may have crawled in while the teen was swimming. So, never go swimming again unless you are wearing ear covers.
By the way, ear covers are a real thing according to Amazon. The Amazon river would probably be a good place to wear them too.
Speaking of real things, apparently getting a centipede in your ear is a real thing, according to the Internet and an Otolaryngologist who says he’s removed dozens! There are still some skeptics out there who say yes, it’s a real thing but tiny centipedes, not four inch long centipedes. But the hospital staff said he had an abraided ear drum, so who knows? Sweet dreams!
