That seems to be the lesson learned by one female tourist in Mexico, who climbed atop the Mayan pyramid. Then she did a little dance. Then she tried to show off.

Onlookers were not pleased, to say the least. The response: A bunch of boos and angry chants.

Oh, they also threw things at her, dumped water on her, and just generally intimidated her after a security officer walked her back down toward the mob.

The woman was eventually identified as Abigail Villalobos, 29, who attempted to pass herself off as a Spaniard. She was detained by police for about 30 minutes after her little stunt and fined the U.S. equivalent of $260, per the New York Post.

The Mayan pyramid has been considered off-limits since 2008, for a good reason. It’s old, so they want to preserve it as much as they can. So yeah, don’t be dumb and attempt this. First off, it’s so disrespectful to not only the city but the culture. Second of all, this is so dangerous, one small step and you’re done. finished, you’re toast on the floor. Don’t try to get famous by doing a stupid stunt that can ultimately risk your life. She honestly got let go with a light sentence,e she should have at least spent a night in jail.
