Bethenny Frankel is trying to put the real in Real Housewives of New York City by sporting a blue bikini on social media. Only that’s not really her body, and she admitted as much.

Instead, Frankel was making a point — showing three pics, with the first very clearly photoshopped.
The second was actually the Real Housewives star, with the third being a side-by-side of the first picture and the second.
The purpose? Well, Frankel wanted to remind everyone that Instagram isn’t often real life.
“This is NOT what I look like…and you know that bc [sic] I’m not vain and show you the real me,” Frankel, 51, wrote alongside an edited photo of her sporting a smaller head and bigger breasts.
“But if I posted a version of this every day you might start to believe that it might be. This is just how distorted this has all gotten.”
Frankel went on to write that ““filtering is lying” and can cause women to feel badly about their bodies, making “young girls insecure and obsessed with an unattainable perfection” and “middle aged women and mothers feel insecure about themselves.”
Along with all that, it also “creates a false ideal for men,” she wrote.
Frankel added that what really matters is feeling proud with who you are and what you look like, warts and all.
She concluded that “there is a line between making an effort to look pretty and an outright falsehood.”
