Yaqub Talib was involved in a fatal shooting at a youth football game in Lancaster, Texas, over the weekend, authorities said.

On Sunday, the Lancaster Police Department announced it was seeking Yaqub Talib in connection to the death of an adult male, who had been fatally shot during an argument at the end of a youth game. The victim was said to be a coach of one of the teams.

Police have indicated that Yaqub Talib was the trigger man. Aqib Talib was there but was not involved, his attorney told TMZ.

“Aqib was present when this unfortunate incident occurred and is very distraught and devastated over this terrible loss of life,” his attorney said. “He would like to convey his condolences to the family of the victim and to everyone who witnessed this unfortunate tragedy.”

Aqib Talib was an All-American cornerback at Kansas — before a successful NFL career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Denver Broncos, New England Patriots, Los Angeles Rams and Miami Dolphins that spanned from 2008 to ’19.
