Demi Moore is starting a bikini line because, well, at 59, she knows what she wants! While she looks just as gorgeous now as she did back in her 30s, she wanted a bikini that aligned with her tastes. So, she partnered with Andie in the Demi Moore x Andie capsule swimwear line—and it just dropped!

Demi told People that one of her primary inspirations was the fact that different women have different insecurities. She also inserted an admission to struggling with body dysmorphia, which many women can empathize with.

Women Can Be Sexy Without Being Naked

Sometimes that means not every woman wants to wear a piece of dental floss. But, she said, “they don’t want to look matronly or not feel sexy or desirable. That was really something in my own mind, which is changing this idea that we become less desirable as we get older.”

Demi posted four super cute and classy bikini looks to her Instagram with the caption:

“As a supporter, investor, and long-time fan of @AndieSwim, I couldn’t have been more thrilled when founder @MelanieTravis asked me to co-design this collection. Creating these pieces was so much fun and I hope you love them as much as we loved making them!”

One Of Demi’s Main Inspo’s Is Vintage

Demi told People that she was highly inspired by the “elegance and glamor of” vintage swimwear.

“The workmanship that went into the vintage suits is extraordinary,” she explained. “And some of them, you can’t actually believe are swimwear. So, the idea is: How do we make a woman wear something that feels good and playful and sexy that is also creating security and confidence and still has style?”

Demi and Andie’s VP of Brand and Design, Michelle Copelman, walked around Demi’s closets and looked at her style when creating the new swimwear line.

Copelman told People that the line has a “feminine, sweet, flirty whimsical vibe that carries through throughout the entire collection.” She also said that the fabrics are “elevated” and that some pieces have a special supportive mesh layer on the inside.
