The disturbing video shows the gas station clerk saying, “Have a nice day” to the previous customer and then the boy walks up. He pulls out a pistol straightaway and says, “Put the money in the bag.”

“Are you serious?” asks the clerk. The boy immediately fires a gunshot into the air, so she goes into the safe. Next, the clerk grabs a cash bag, throws it into the boy’s backpack, and tells him to take it. Meanwhile, she tells another customer to get out after they enter the store. She presumably doesn’t want that customer to get hurt.

The Marathon gas station is on Main Street in Hartford, Michigan.

Watch the video of the boy robbing the clerk at gunpoint below:

The gas station really didn’t think that the kid meant it. She told Wood-TV that “He walked in, and he stood by the door and he just kind of stared at” her.

The clerk, who is going by “Jessica,” continues.

“It was a kid! It was just a little boy with a black bag! … He was just a little boy. He was probably like, I don’t know, like maybe 10? Ten or 11?… He was so young. I didn’t know what — I thought he was (expletive) with me.”

Jessica confides that she’s never experienced anything like this before. Further, she mentions that the boy appeared to be about the same age as her youngest kid.

The 12-year-old robber was consequently caught later by the Hartford Police shortly after exiting the gas station.

Regardless, it wasn’t until after he successfully robbed the Marathon gas station at gunpoint.

The police report that the boy grabbed thousands of dollars in cash. Further, the boy allegedly obtained the gun by prying open a locked gun safe which belonged to his guardian. Neither the names of the boy nor his guardian have yet been released.
