He was strapped in and ready to go, but watch the moment this roller coaster ride took a terrifying turn Facebook/Screenshot

Some people love the adrenaline rush they get from riding roller coasters, while others are completely terrified.

A Texas father, Delbert Latham was on a roller coaster ride at Wonderland in Amarillo, Texas when the unthinkable happened to his son. His son, Kaysen slid out of his seat but thankfully he was able to hoist him back up and hold him until the ride was over.

Latham recorded the ride on his cell phone and uploaded footage to Facebook to make people aware of the terrifying incident. The video shows Kaysen sitting next to his father on the ride, moments before his seat breaks. You can see Kaysen slide down for a split second and watch his dad lift him back up and hold him with his right arm.

Latham said a worker told him that this kind of incident has happened before.

“What makes it worse is when I told the guy at the end of the ride he stated that he knew that had happened sometimes!! Really it’s already happened and you continue to let people ride??!!” Latham wrote on Facebook.

After they got off the ride safely, Latham said the venue continued to let people ride the coaster but didn’t let anyone sit in the defunct seat.
