Seeing a BMW swept away by a flood is proof that there’s always someone having a worse day Youtube/Screenshot

No one ever wants to see something tragic happen to their car, however someone’s day took a turn for the worse when this car was seen floating down a river.

According to the Evening Standard, the dark gray BMW was seen floating in River Thames near the Putney Embankment in southwest London around 2 p.m. last Wednesday.

Ted Stones, an 18-year-old student saw the car completely inundated by floodwaters.

“It literally just started to float slowly and then the tide took it away. The police were there but literally didn’t know what to do – they were as confused as the rest of us,” Stones told the Standard.

Witnesses told the Standard that the car was parked on a slipway before it got swept away.

“The general commotion was that it wasn’t the first time this happens and how drivers regularly get caught out by the high tide but it’s never bad enough to sweep an entire car away,” Stones told Business Insider.
