It’s that time of year.
About 3,500 reindeer started moving south for their annual two-month migration from Norway to Finland. Jan Olsen used a drone to capture stunning footage near Karasjok, Norway. The deer stuck together and endured temperatures of -15 degrees Fahrenheit.
“Using a drone was always just a hobby to me, but I get a lot of satisfaction out of the footage as it is so rare for somebody to film from the sky above,” Olsen told Caters News Agency.
Who are on the snowmobiles? The indigenous Sami people who reside in the Arctic area of the Sampi in parts of northern Norway, Sweden, Russia and Finland.
