It was an incredible moment at Lake Argentina when the arched section of the Perito Moreno glacier, also knows at the “White Giant,” sent huge ice chunks into the water on Thursday.
Bystanders gathered to see the amazing moment that hasn’t happened in four years. According to ABC, spectators said the chunk of ice that fell was 250 meters wide and 70 meters high.
Matilde Oviedo, a spokeswoman for Los Glaciares National Park, told the Daily Mail, “It made a tremendous noise when it came down.”
What a COOL phenomenon!
