This kid is clearly WAY too excited for Star Wars to come out.

The trigger-happy mad scientist who goes by the name styropyro on YouTube made a 40W (that’s 40 watts for all you unscientific types) laser shotgun. Why? Maybe his parents didn’t love him enough as a child, it’s tough to say. All we know is that it’s pretty damn awesome.

The laser cannon is powered by a lithium -polymer battery and contains eight 5W blue lasers that converge through a focusing lens. That gives it more than enough power to shred through balloons and set paper on fire, as you can seen in the video.

He really has a “bright” future ahead of him.
