This time-lapse of the Northern Lights in Maine will make you want to see them for yourself one day

The Aurora Borealis may be one of the best shows in the sky, and folks in Portland, Maine, were treated to a colorful display last night.

Spectacular time-lapse footage shows the dazzling Aurora Borealis over Sugarloaf. According to WGME, the aurora usually forms 80 to 500 kilometers above Earth’s surface.
