People were inside a mosque Friday in Phoenix, Arizona, when a swarm of bees flew inside the Muslim Community Mosque and attacked.

Phoenix Fire Department spokeswoman Ardell Deliz told ABC News that about 20 people were stung outside the mosque. A 24-year-old man was taken to the hospital in stable condition, ABC News reported. To control the bees, firefighters sprayed the area with foam.

It’s unclear what caused the thousands to bees to attack.
