Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling have been pretty busy working on set for the new anticipated live-action Barbie movie set to release in 2023. They’ve been making headlines for wearing pretty crazy hot pink costumes, but now they’re making headlines for a different film.

Last May it was announced that Robbie was joining a new Oceans Eleven movie, and it looks like Gosling will star in the project. The Suicide Squad star is also set to produce the film with Michelle Graham and her husband Tom Ackerley.
Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie Join Forces Again
According to a report from Puck News, the prequel from Warner Bros Discovery is set to be bigger than the $70 million production budget that was needed for Ocean’s 8, the most recent film in the franchise. Puck News notes this time it will “feel more theatrical and maybe even summer-worthy,” but won’t cost “anywhere near the $200 million Netflix burned on Gosling’s The Gray Man.”
Details of the script are still under wraps, but it is said to be set in Europe in the 1960s. Executive producers for the film are Olivia Milch, Gary Ross and Josey McNamara. Village Roadshow will serve as an exec producer capacity and is in talks of co-financing.
Ocean’s 8 Trailer
The Oceans franchise was first launched in 2001, which was a heist comedy featuring Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Matt Damon, and George Clooney. The film was so successful, earning $450 million worldwide theatrical.
The franchise went on to complete two more installments of the franchise in 2004 and 2007. It returned in 2018 with Ocean’s 8, featuring an all-female cast including Helena Bonham Carter, Sandra Bullock, Anne Hathaway, Sarah Paulson, and more.
