Chris Pratt Celebrating The Success Of ‘Terminal List’ Amid Controversy

We didn’t make it for the critics!

Not everyone is happy with Amazon Prime’s The Terminal List, but series star Chris Pratt doesn’t really care.

That became evident when Pratt trolled critics on his Instagram story, citing the high approval ratings among fans.

Pratt, 43, plays Navy SEAL James Reese on the show. He first referred to an article with the following headline: “Chris Pratt’s new Navy thriller ‘The Terminal List’ defies woke critics’ scathing reviews to shoot up ratings chart with 1.6 BILLION minutes of streams.”

He followed that with a picture of Dr. Evil, portrayed by Mike Myers in Austin Powers, in which he relayed the number of times viewers took in The Terminal List. Per Nielson, that number is at least 1.6 billion 60-second moments.

“One point six BILLLLLLLLLION minutes,” Pratt wrote on the meme.

The mystery thriller is based on the novel by Jack Carr, who also has defended the series against the critics. Interestingly, Carr is a former Navy SEAL himself.

“It falls right in line with everything that I understand about the current culture and climate in America right now. It seems to have triggered quite a few of these critics,” Carr said on Tucker Carlson Tonightvia Devdiscourse. “The 95 percent viewer rating, audience rating, makes it all worth it.

“We didn’t make it for the critics. We made it for those in the arena. We made it for the soldier, sailor, airman and Marine that went downrange to Iraq and Afghanistan, so they could sit on the couch and say, ‘Hey, these guys put in the work. They put in the effort to make something special and make a show that speaks to them.’ And that 95 percent rating lets me know that we at least got close.”
