Congratulations are in order for Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy! The couple announced that they’re getting ready to welcome their third child, according to their representative. The couple is set to be soon a family of five, originally trying the knot back in 2009. They are also parents to Cyrus Michael Christopher, 10, and Rowan, 4.
Danes had previously spoken about how much she enjoyed being pregnant with a Rowan back in 2008, saying she was taking a break from her work. “Pretty soon I get to retire for a little while and just be pregnant, which I look forward to,” she said during an event for Homeland.
“It feels like a huge luxury,” Danes stated. “When I was pregnant with my first son, I worked until I was in my eighth month, so this feels like a huge gift, to have a chance to kick my feet up a little bit.” The actress had previously spoken to People about her pregnancies, saying that motherhood was amazing as she took Cyrus to set while she was filming the Showtime series.
“He says, ‘Action!'” Dane stated. “He’s a real set baby. It’s really sweet. He loves the [show’s operations room] because of all the lights. It’s a great environment for a kid. It’s the circus!”
The news of the duo becoming parents comes after Dames was nominated for a Golden Globe just last month for best supporting actress in a limited series category for her performance in Fleishman Is in Trouble. The actress also has four other Golden Globes and has been nominated for a Critics Choice Award.
Dancy is no stranger to the television World, portraying Will Graham in NBC’s Hannibal and Robert Devereux in Elizabeth which earned him a Primetime Emmy Award nomination. He is currently portraying Senior Assistant District Attorney Nolan Price on NBC’s Law & Order.
