She looked innocent pushing a stroller, but the truth was far more shocking

Chicago police have arrested an 18-year-old woman who they say was stopped early Monday morning pushing a stroller. Upon further investigation, officers discovered a handgun, rifle and stocks of ammunition hidden inside the carriage. Yarisma Martinez was charged with two counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.

According to CBS Chicago, police noticed a man firing a rifle on the street but were unable to apprehend him–instead they began monitoring the area via cameras. A few hours later, a surveillance camera caught Martinez and another woman entering a nearby house carrying a bag, though she left pushing a stroller and carrying a diaper bag.

When officers stopped Martinez, she invited them to look in the carriage where they found a Smith & Wesson 9 millimeter pistol, a Mossberg 30-30 riffle and several rounds of ammunition. A judge set her bail at $20,000 and scheduled her to appear in court again on April 3. Prosecutors stated that she has no criminal record.
