“Operation Cyber Guardian II” lasted one week, receiving assistance from Chris Hansen, the host of To Catch a Predator. In all, 13 arrests were made.

Along with Disney employees, those arrested included workers from Amazon and Publix. As well as one man who installs internet safety systems in schools, Judd said.

The suspects made attempts to “sexually abuse, groom, and corrupt” children, the sheriff added.

Disney Employees Among Men Arrested

“We will continue to conduct proactive operations like this to search out these evil predators before they get to our children,” Judd told reporters. “Thanks to the hard work of our detectives and the detectives in our partnering agencies, these 13 predators have been arrested. We are going hold them criminally accountable for their attempts to sexually abuse, groom, and corrupt our children.”

Several of the suspects believed they were chatting online with teens, but were actually talking to investigators. All of the suspects made it clear they were looking for a sexual relationship. Eight of the men traveled to several undercover locations to have sex with the children, according to officials. The other five participated in sexually explicit conversations and sent harmful material to those they thought were children.

Once that came to light, authorities were able to obtain warrants and make the arrests. Disney, Amazon and Publix have not commented on the sting.
