Disney Officially Issues Behavior Warning as Fights Increase on Park Grounds

It almost seems as if Disneyland is becoming no place for Mickey Mouse. But it’s apparently becoming a place where people are starting to act goofy.

Or more accurately, they’re just becoming plan violent at times.

So much so that Disney has felt compelled to issue a “courtesy” warning because of an increase in fights at its theme parks.

Disney included the warnings in the “Know Before You Go” section of its website. It applies to both Disneyland and Disney World.

“We ask all who come to this happy place to treat others with respect, kindness and compassion,” reads the new Disneyland advisory. β€œTo help guests have a safe and enjoyable experience, we regularly update our Disneyland resort rules.”

The Disney World note reads similarly.

β€œBe the magic you want to see in the world,” reads the Disney World advisory. β€œYou must always remember to treat others with respect, kindness and compassion. Those who can’t live up to this simple wish may be asked to leave Walt Disney World resort.”

Per WDW News Today, these are again in response to a “slew of physical altercations” breaking out at the theme parks in recent years.

Granted, you’d think people would already know this — but with lots of foot traffic, rides and events, well, people are in close quarters with others for the duration of their visit. That can lead to some frustration. Obviously.

So take off those boxing gloves and just enjoy the visit. There’s nothing magical about trading jabs at the Disney kingdom.
