Tragedy struck in Oconee County, Ga., Wednesday night when a car occupied by five female college students went over the center line and crashed into another car, killing the four passengers and critically injuring the driver.

The University of Georgia students who were passengers have been identified as Kayla Canedo, 19, Brittany Feldman, 20, Christina Semeria, 19, and Halle Scott, 19.

The driver, 21-year-old Agnes Kim, remains hospitalized. The driver of the other vehicle, 27-year-old Abby Short, is also in the hospital.

According to WSB-TV, troopers have ruled out alcohol as a cause. The crash is said to have occurred for “an unknown reason.”
