George W. Bush shared an encouraging update on his parents’ hospitalizations

While former President George H.W. Bush and former First Lady Barbara Bush remain hospitalized, it looks like they’re recovering well. Several media outlets reported that the two are on the “upswing,” a report that has been confirmed by someone very close to the couple.

Their son, former President George W. Bush shared an update on his Instagram on Thursday, saying, “Your prayers are working: 41 and Mom are doing much better today and fighting on. Thanks for your messages of love and support for Mother and Dad,” along with an endearing photo of him and his parents.

“@Laurawbush and I look forward to representing them at the Inauguration tomorrow while they continue to recover in Houston,” Bush continued, assuring the American people that he and former First Lady Laura Bush will still be attending Friday’s inauguration.
