Is it a good idea to be considered “hot” when your very job is to put out fires? Well, for Anike Ekina of the Schwarzenbek Volunteer Fire Department in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, it seems to be OK. After all, Ekina said she still remains very committed to her career following her official title as “Germany’s Hottest Firefighter.”

Ekina, 36, is also quite the saxophone player, it seems, as she won an award for that, too. She even has grand plans to tour as a saxophonist soon.

But it is her looks that have everyone saying this girl is on fire. And fighting real fires is precisely what she intends to keep doing, along with everything else, she said, via the New York Post.
“Of course, I will remain loyal to the fire brigade!” Ekina promised.
Granted, fans would rather see her playing the saxophone than putting out a fire in their home, so her musical career will also be a priority. She is soon going on tour, too.
“I have already recorded a few songs, and I wanted to get started as a saxophonist, but then coronavirus came along,” Ekina told Jam Press, via the Post.

“Now, I am going on tour with my alto saxophone next year. At Ibiza parties, in clubs, people can also book me for events. We already have a ton of inquiries.”
Tons of inquiries? Gee, that’s a shock.
But if you can’t book Ekina for a little sax, fear not. You can always light your bedroom up in flames, and she has promised to come running.
