Hurricane Ian Rescue Workers Pull Woman From Sinking Car

A Florida woman was rescued from Hurricane Ian flooding by emergency personnel. She was trapped in her car after it sink in rushing waters. It was all dangers that resulted from Hurricane Ian touching down in the state.

The incident was captured on video and posted to the Naples Fire-Rescue Department Facebook page.

The video revealed two rescue workers removing the woman from her vehicle. They needed to smash in a window to assist the process.

“Please let this be a lesson to stay off the roads when flooding is possible,” the department wrote with its post.

The woman was given a life vest before being whisked away to safety, as the video shows.

As relayed by Federal Agency Management Agency, people should avoid crossing flood waters, and definitely not enter them if it can be avoided.

“Rapidly rising water can engulf the vehicle and its occupants, sweeping them away,” the agency said on its website.
