Inside Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s Messy Airplane Fight That Led to Divorce

Details about the infamous airplane fight that led to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s divorce have been released. A Jane Doe filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit earlier this year against the Department of Justice. Hence, FBI documents pertaining to what happened—or was said to have happened—have been made public.

Jane Doe May Be Angelina Jolie

Newsweek obtained copies of the documents and they’re pretty damning, whether or not true. Puck News investigated the lawsuit and also discovered that Jane Doe was demanding to seek documents pertaining to her husband. This led the outlet to speculate that Jane Doe is actually Angelina Jolie. As such, some are concluding that the release of the documents is actually a publicity stunt intended to make Brad Pitt look bad.

The documents state that Jolie alleged that Pitt was drunk and violent on the September 14, 2016, flight. She said that he “grabbed her by her head” and “pushed her into the bathroom wall.”

Jolie also alleged that one of the children called Pitt a “prick,” and Pitt’s response made Jolie think he was going to attack the kid. So, she put him in a chokehold. She also claimed that he poured beer and wine all over the plane including on her, causing $25,000 worth of damages to the airplane.

Brad Pitt Made His Wife Feel Like A “Hostage”

Once they landed, Jolie said she wanted to bring her kids to a hotel so that they could sleep but Pitt said, “You’re not taking my f****** kids.” Jolie said she “felt like a hostage” while on the flight and then they remained for another 20 minutes because Pitt wouldn’t let her go somewhere to sleep.

Jolie claimed that she had back and elbow injuries from the altercation with her husband, as well as a rug burn on her hand. She admitted to possible scratching Pitt as well.

The FBI documents note:

“In response to allegations made following a flight within the special aircraft jurisdiction of the United States which landed in Los Angeles carrying Mr. Brad Pitt and his children, the F.B.I. has conducted a review of the circumstances and will not pursue further investigation. No charges have been filed in this matter.”

Jolie and Pitt separated the next day and Jolie filed for divorce less than a week later. The two have been enmeshed in a nasty divorce battle, including a custody battle for their six children, ever since.
