The “wrap gift” is a longstanding Hollywood tradition of an exchange of gifts between actors/producers when production of a movie or show has concluded. As in, “that’s a wrap.”
On Monday’s edition of The Late Late Show With James Corden, Top Gun: Maverick star Glen Powell told a story about the wrap gift he received from Jamie Lee Curtis, his co-star on the show Scream Queens.
“My first scene on the show was we’re in bed shooting a sex scene,” Powell explained.
According to Powell, while they were shooting the scene, Curtis shared quite a few insights from her experience working on the film, Perfect. And when the first season of Scream Queens wrapped, she gave him a DVD copy of the film.
But that wasn’t the best part.
Apparently, Curtis also gave him a condom with a picture of her face on it.
Giving new meaning to “wrap gift.”
“She said, ‘Thanks for the ride of a lifetime,’” Powell said, much to the delight of Corden, Kaley Cuoco and the audience.
