49-year-old Jenny McCarthy was Playmate of the Year back in 1994 and has appeared in the adult publication a total of six times throughout the years. She is now sharing some secrets after former Playboy bunnies Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt opened up about their time in the Playboy Mansion. Both were once girlfriends of late Hugh Hefner, revealing that at that time, the mansion was “kind of cult-y.” Marquardt went on to compare sex with the Playboy founder to a “chore.”

Now, McCarthy revealed the Playboy Mansion was indeed very strict when she was there, comparing it to a Catholic School.  She did note that her experience with the brand was different from all the shocking comments that came out. The allegations were part of the docuseries, Secret of Playboy

Speaking on the “#NoFilter with Zack Peters” podcast, she stated, “I’m so grateful that when I was there, Hef was married and it was kind of run like a strict dormitory. Like, we weren’t even allowed near Hef or around the house.”

“It was almost like Catholic school, to be honest. There were no orgies or big parties going on,” she continued. “So I think I went in there in a window of time that was kind of safe for me. But hearing some of these girls’ stories was really rough…”

“I have three sisters and when I’m publicly telling my stories of childhood, [one] will call me and say, ‘What house were you living in?’ Because … Everyone has a different story and outline of their life. That’s the analogy I would use with Playmates,” she noted. She went on to say that the playmates live in the same house but didn’t all experience the same things.

Jenny McCarthy Talks Playboy Documentary

McCarthy, who is currently a judge on The Masked Singer, revealed she was repeatedly asked to be a host of the docu-series but declined due to the allegations of abuse and misconduct that were shared by several other playmates.  The allegations didn’t necessarily tally with her very own experiences.

She went on to explain, “ “They had asked me to host that show. They wanted me to really be involved. And be an executive producer and be involved in it – numerous times!”

“I love the production company, I’m gonna put that out there because I do love them, who did it. But because I didn’t have the same experiences, I wasn’t going to sign up for a paycheque and be salacious when I didn’t experience those things. And hearing their stories, my heart broke for a lot of these women.”
