In fairness, both teams were unhappy with home plate umpire Angel Hernandez’s inconsistent strike zone during last night’s Phillies-Brewers game in the City of Brotherly Love.
Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber had already been called out on strikes in a previous at-bat during the game on a pitch that was outside the strike zone.
So when it happened again on a three-balls-and-two-strikes count in the 9th inning of a 1-0 game, Schwarber went ballistic.

Schwarber headed to first base thinking it was ball four. Instead, Hernandez rings him up on strikes. And knowing fully well he’s going to get ejected for disputing the call, Schwarber gives us a show to remember.
