But she’s been fairly quiet as an entertainer lately — unless you count those Planet Fitness Super Bowl ads.
Now, however, fans have reason to get excited again, because she’s returning to the small screen. Or the streaming app, as the case may be.
Lindsay Lohan For Planet Fitness
As revealed by Netflix, Lohan will star in Falling for Christmas, a holiday movie that is due out in November. Clearly, this will be a light-hearted flick with its fair share of love.
As Netflix revealed in a statement, Falling for Christmas is a “new romantic comedy about a newly engaged and spoiled hotel heiress who finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter after getting total amnesia in a skiing accident.”
Lohan, of course, plays the role of the hotel heiress.
On screen, Lohan is mostly known for her epic fan-favorite roles in The Parent Trap and Mean Girls. Off-screen, she had become known for some of her personal struggles, which included legal issues and alcoholism.
Lohan, 36, now seems to be in a considerably healthier place, likely leading to her return as a leading lady.
Falling for Christmas
She won’t be the only name you may recognize in Falling for Christmas, of course.
“Also starring in the movie will be Chord Overstreet who is known for his role on Glee where he played Sam Evans,” relayed What’s on Netflix. “George Young (Malignant), Jack Wagner (The Bold and the Beautiful), Sean Dillingham (Yellowstone), and Olivia Perez (In The Heights) are also listed to star.”
