Heads up Big Mac lovers, you’re sure going to love this news. Earlier this year McDonald’s decided to launch a new item in their UK menu that left us in a jealous rage. What was this item? None other than the Chicken Big Mac!

God knows that Americans love a good chicken sandwich, just look at all the rage that happened when Popeyes introduced their chicken sandwiches back in 2019. People were going crazy for them, creating long lines and even getting in fights over them. Those poor workers sure didn’t see it coming.
So of course, McDonald’s had to get out there to change up their iconic Big Mac, swapping out the beef burger for chicken patties. According to The Washington Post, McDonald’s says that they’re always looking to give their customers more ways to enjoy the classic items that they love.
New McDonald’s Chicken Big Mac
They plan to test out the chicken version of The Big Mac for a limited time at Miami area locations starting this month. It also hinted that they could be offering it Nationwide if the reviews are good enough.
“While not everything we test makes it on our U.S. menus, we’ll use this time to gather feedback from both customers and restaurant crew as we consider opportunities to offer more delicious options in the future,” the company told Washington Post.
As far as what will be in the sandwich, it’s pretty much the same. You have a special sauce, lettuce, pickles, American cheese, and it will be served on a sesame seed bun. But the difference is that it will substitute the classic beef burger meat for two“ tempura chicken patties.”
It almost sounds like a genius idea, it makes you wonder why McDonald’s didn’t even think about this in the first place. They already have their crispy chicken sandwich that even comes in a spicy flavor for those who like a little bit more heat. So chicken Big Mac, I can totally see that working.
