New Study Finds Link Between Men Who Drive Sports Cars and Small Penises

Do men with small penises like to drive sports cars? A new study claims to have found evidence for a psychological link between the two. Specifically, researchers at the University College London are claiming that men who are manipulated into thinking that their penis size is smaller than average are more likely to consider purchasing a luxury sports car.

Men’s Self-Esteem Levels Were Manipulated by Telling Them False Information

If you’re starting to feel uncomfortable, my friend, let me help you out. The study hasn’t been peer-reviewed yet and researchers aren’t claiming that this is set in stone. Rather, they’re saying there is evidence for a link and recommending future research as follow-up.

Also, the study was approved in advance by an institutional ethics board.

Further, men over the age of 29 who were manipulated into thinking that their penis sizes were small were more likely to want to drive a luxury sports car.

The study had a sample size of 200 men, which is more than the minimum needed for statistical significance. The men were told that they were involved in a research project that was “studying how people remember facts at the same time as shopping for products.” Men were then shown a series of slides, delivered via an online platform, which gave them a “fact” for 7 seconds. Then the slide would present a product and the participants would move a slider to signal how much they wanted the product.

Some of the slides gave purposefully inaccurate penis size facts to manipulate self-esteem. For instance, one slide said that the average male penis was 10 cm, which was intended to boost self-esteem. Another said the average size was 18 cm, which was intended to lower self-esteem.

The Study Concludes That Men Age 29 and Older May Be More Likely to Want to Buy a Sports Car if They Think They Have a Small Penis

It gets a little more complex than that, with the researchers later telling participants that they were initially lied to. They were then asked more questions. But in the end, the study found that there was a Maximum Probability of Effect (MPE) link of between 95% and 99% in men over age 29. That is, a man over age 29 who is led to believe that he has a small penis may be more likely to desire to have or drive a luxury sports car.

Autoblog.com brought up the study and neatly replaced the word “penis” with potato, to reduce extraneous giggling. Comments on the topic were mixed.

“What does it mean that I have a 32ft motorhome?”

“I never realized this about Jay Leno and all of those pro athletes. Only self-assured men drive a Prius?”

“Apparently this study was funded by Joy Behar and Joy Reid.”

“Sometimes a man can feel like how long his potato is actually important. But is it? When you boys measure your potato length, the truth is it doesn’t really matter. What does matter is length times diameter plus weight over girth divided by angle of the tip squared, okay? (L*d+W/G)/(A^2).”
