Police in Ann Arbor, Mich., are on the hunt for a bank robber who claimed he had a bomb last Tuesday and left with cash.

The suspect, who didn’t pay too much attention to hiding his identity, is said to have walked right up to the bank teller with a note with a bomb threat on it and a demand for cash.
Here’s how police described the suspect: “Suspect described as a middle aged white male tall/thin build approximately 6’1” tall last seen wearing a white colored jacket with a grey hoodie underneath, dark colored pants, sunglasses and a dark colored ‘beanie’ style hat.“
Although many commenting do not agree, some think this guy looks like Kid Rock.
Michigan’s own Kid Rock took notice of the story.
“U never know!! Sometimes u just wanna grab some extra cash real quick and don’t feel like being incognito!!! Hahaha this is funny.. glad no one was hurt, but it’s funny!! #kidrock #bankrobber #wtf,” he wrote on Instagram.
Obviously, this is all a big joke, but police have officially ruled him out as a suspect.

“We have ruled out Kid Rock as a suspect despite the resemblance and the calls from the public that that’s our guy,” Ann Arbor Police Detective Matt Lige said. “There was no hype, there was no yelling — it was very matter-of-fact. He pulled the note out of his pocket. He made sure she read the note in its entirety.”
Authorities are still looking for the bank robber, though, and are offering a $2,000 reward for helpful tips leading to his arrest.
It’s not the first time a celebrity has been in the news for resembling a bank robber.
In Jan. 2016, Mike Rowe of “Dirty Jobs” fame responded to a similar situation in a similar way on social media.
