It looks like the Royal family are just like us, they actually like to enjoy watching “The Crown” too! The historical drama, like it says in the title, is about the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. It follows her family beginning their time as Royals. The show is so successful that it’s been renewed for a fifth and sixth season. Those two are set to cover the Queen entering the 21st century.

The show is definitely a guilty pleasure, so much so that even Prince Charles has acknowledged it. He said he was familiar with how the story portrayed him in his younger years. I mean, if they were making a TV show about me I would definitely want to watch it too.

So, according to the Daily Mail, a Scottish politician named Anas Sarwar said that when he first met Charles he introduced himself as, “Hello, nice to meet you all. I’m nowhere near how they portray me on Netflix.”

“The Crown”: Prince Charles and Diana’s Explosive Fight Scene

Sarwar went on to say, “I thought that was a really interesting way of how you describe yourself. Perhaps ironically for the Prince, incredible awkwardness in social situations is pretty much exactly how he’s portrayed on Netflix, as played by Josh O’Connor.”

Now, who knows if he’s actually seen the whole thing or not, but this definitely leaves you wondering who else watches it. The show heavily dramatizes his relationship with Princess Diana and his affair with Camilla Parker Bowles with season four ending with him yelling at Diana during a cruel fight that pretty much depicts him to be a terrible human. So yeah, safe to say he’s doing good in telling people that he’s not like his character, just to cover his tracks, you know?

Besides Charles, no other member has admitted to actually seeing “The Crown,” but come on. Do you think Kate Middleton doesn’t sneak a peek every now and then? She has to! Especially now that the show is casting a young Prince William! Ages 18 and 35 to be exact, so you know they are looking for Kate too!

It’s about to get good, people!
