A lot of people are telling Ringo Starr’s feet to get back to where they once belonged. Others don’t seem to mind that he posted a picture of nothing but open-toed sandals to Twitter.
Starr, 82, first posted the pic to Twitter to show off The Beatles’ Blue-Ray collector’s DVD, entitled, of course, Get Back. His feet were also revealed. “YES peace and love,” he wrote.
The documentary series was directed by Peter Jackson and covers the Beatles’ Let It Be album released in 1970. It shows several never before seen and unused footage and audio material that was originally captured for Michale Lindsay-Hogg’s 1970 documentary of the successful album.
Get back Jojo? More like get back toe-toe, some implied.
But you don’t become a pop/rock icon by not having a sense of humor. So after the strongly mixed reaction to the first tweet, ol’ Ringo sent out a similar pic.
“Wow I just had a pedicure looking good peace and love,” Starr wrote above a second feet tweet, sporting what looks to be the same pair of sandals.
Apparently, this is just the thing hippies do, and we all know Starr is a hippy at heart. Or so they say.
Also, as TMZ surmised, perhaps this was Starr’s way of having fun related to a recent photo posted by another drummer. That would be none other than Tommy Lee of Motley Crue.
Lee, 59, recently took to Instagram to bare all. And by “all” we mean a full frontal nude.
So no matter what you think of Starr’s picture revealing some skin, we can all probably agree it was better than the pic posted by Lee.
