Catelynn Baltierra asked for money on Instagram, and let’s just say it didn’t go over very well.

In fact, several fans considered the move by the former Teen Mom star to be a bit, well, tacky. This despite the fact Baltierra indicated she was looking to raise money for 7-year old daughter Nova.
“So nova is looking for sponsors you can literally pick ANY number on this page and pay the number!” Baltierra wrote via Instagram on August 11. “So if you pick number 20 then you would donate $20! The donations would help with uniforms, practice and competitions!”
Not surprisingly, Baltierra disabled comments on the post. But that didn’t keep people from slamming her on Reddit.
“It would be one thing to post on like a private account for only friends and family, or even specifically say, “Hey friends and fam, Nova has a fundraiser going on!” wrote one user. “This is just tacky. No, Cate, you can’t have my money.”
Another added: “Seriously, I shouldn’t be surprised but I am. Just when I thought she couldn’t get any more trashy and tacky, she’s asking her fans for donations to novas cheerleading. I understand that this is normal for cheer, but they pull in hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. Wtf.”
There’s more.
“I can’t imagine having this kind of income and being so tacky,” wrote yet another. “I’d be covering all the kids uniforms myself. I’m not even frigging rich and I dump money into kids stuff because them needing to “beg” for money is gross. Just let them enjoy their damn activities.”
Baltierra, 30, was first cast in MTV’s 16 and Pregnant in 2009, then later in Teen Mom and Teen Mom OG. She and husband Tyler Baltierra co-authored a book, Conquering Chaos, released in 2015.
Both she and her now -husband always seemed “troubled” to me. Something wasn’t right. And that little girl has too much mouth. Their first child, the one they gave away, will probably not want them in her life. They should just leave her alone.
